So you want to know, are you going crazy.
My response? It goes a little something like this: “If you can ask me that question, you’re not going crazy.”
I sound pretty confident, don’t I. How can I be so sure in just one session?
I don’t believe anyone is “crazy”. It’s a word we use when we feel like we can’t manage, when we are juggling too many balls and our minds just can’t keep them all in the air.
Maybe it seems like your memory’s not what it used to be, you are struggling to concentrate or make decisions, and you experience outbursts of anger or tears.
Any one of us can reach this point where we start to wonder, “Is this it? Am I finally starting to lose the plot?”
When Life Gets Crazy …
What these signs and symptoms tell me is that your current workload, whether it’s at work or home with the kids – or both – is simply too much for one person. And in response, your body, your emotions, and your thought processes, all start telling you they can’t keep going like this.
Even though it may FEEL like you are going crazy, what is in fact happening is you are being given warning signs that you are trying to carry more than you can bear. Isn’t it good that your body tells you these things?
What do I do with clients once I have confirmed them as not being crazy? We start to talk about what is actually going on.
- What are you carrying that is not yours to look after?
- Where can we make adjustments to aspects of your lifestyle to help ease (or share) the load?
- When will we schedule in time that is just for YOU?
If you feel like you’re going a bit crazy lately, I encourage you to come and see me, so we can work together to get your life back on track!
